ESG performance

Verified ratings and measured stewardship, not a certification wall.

Chemical industry sustainability claims need specific context. This page uses an ESG ratings badge structure because crop protection stakeholders need third-party signals, methodology notes, and year-over-year movement rather than generic green language. Syngenta's sustainability narrative connects responsible product use, safe handling, water stewardship, supplier screening, and digital decision support. Each claim is framed as a program with boundaries. Hazard language belongs in SDS Section 2, environmental statements should cite recognized methods such as OECD biodegradation tests when applicable, and carbon or water metrics need a baseline. The page therefore highlights ratings, explains what each rating does and does not cover, and ends with a report request path.

Per-rating explanation

EcoVadis

Used as a supplier-facing sustainability signal across environment, labor, ethics, and procurement topics. It does not replace product SDS or label review.

CDP

Focused on climate and water disclosure quality. Site-level water basin action still requires local documentation and management review.

DJSI / MSCI

Useful for investor context and comparative risk screening. They are not claims about the safety profile of any individual formulation.

SBTi

Indicates emissions target alignment. Carbon statements should still cite scope boundaries, baseline year, and verification approach.

Trend bars are a visual placeholder for report-linked disclosure progress; final statements should reference audited report tables.
